It has nothing to do with stage hypnosis for entertainment. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state which can be utilised to help us get in touch with our true self and reframe our thoughts towards a healthier and happier life.
Hypnotherapists are professionals who work interactively with their clients, serving as a guide to help them find their own solutions without imposing their own opinions and beliefs, allowing the client to be in total control the whole time.
With the added tool of NLP (neuro linguistic programming), and EFT (emotional freedom technique) it is possible to study exactly how an individual makes sense of his own unique world and the patterns that have emerged. Once these have been identified and understood, any that are not serving that person in their best interest, can be reframed to ensure a better outcome and therefore a better life.

The answer is your unconscious, the part of you that keeps you safe whist processing millions of bits of information and filtering through the pieces that are needed at any given moment. The fight or flight responses which have been hard-wired since the beginning of mankind are still embedded in our everyday behaviours and this is where some problems can begin to occur.
